Junior Designer At Sealevel Agency®

Sealevel Agency® serves high level coaches and service providers by building exquisite, emotional websites in Squarespace that serve as an epic sales tool for their business. Creative Director Allison has a unique approach to web design and is expanding her team. We are looking for a junior designer to support Allison with implementation support and strong design skills. This role is great for anyone who loves a variety in their work, loves learning new things, and wants to support both the backend of the web process as well as the client facing part of it!

JUNIOR DESIGNER POSITION

  • Hours: starting at 10-15 hours per week

  • Compensation: starting at $20 per hour

  • Contractor, Part-time, remote

  • Our preference is contractors in North America, we will accept applicants globally if they can operate in US Eastern time zone

RESPONSIBILITIES:

General: 

  • Respond to team communications within 24 hours M-F

  • Support all design needs for the Sealevel Agency® team.

 Website Operations: (our websites are typically 6 pages for service providers)

  • Work directly with Allison and the team to create beautiful, custom websites

  • Squarespace and Shopify custom builds

  • Communication with clients for revisions

  • Creating branding for clients including logo design, font and color pairings, textures and graphics, etc

  • Creating social media graphics or other art pieces (like podcast cover art)

  • Creating marketing collateral like one-pagers and other branded collateral

  • Product design

  • Other design needs depending on client needs.

  • Liaise with clients and act as main point of contact

  • Communicate deadlines and facilitate revisions

  • Quality assurance after initial design phase including:

  1. Transfer domain

  2. Test buttons and links

  3. Third party plugins

  4. Basic design edits

  5. SEO

  6. Client correspondence for minor revisions

  7. Schedule client Squarespace training sessions and attend the calls to shadow

  • You have experience with Adobe Suite and can manage all kinds of design tasks using the software

  • You don’t mind designing in Canva when it’s more convenient than Adobe for the client

  • You may not have formal training in web design, but you have an eye for design and can create visuals that attract clients’ ideal customers.

  • You enjoy interacting with people and want to work on a team

  • Client experience matters to you

  • You don’t want your own Squarespace web agency of your own
